I just started taking a class called Bloom True by Flora Bowley. I am learning how to be more intuitive with my paintings. So far it is great fun! Took a picture of my hands after and exercise and created this cute little tid bit below!
Until next time- Live every moment!!
I have been busy in the studio making birdies! I wanted to give Y'all a sneak peak at the first bird in a series I am calling Dreamtime Birds.
I have always been interested in all cultures, specifically, the Australian Aborigines. Basically, Dreamtime is the Aboriginals understanding of the world and it's creation. It is much more complex than this simple one sentence explanation. I love the complex simplicity of their art. This is just my take and what I find to be beautiful. This is the first bird in the series named Night Bird. I will let you all know when these guys start showing up in my shop!
Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!!
Until next time!
I finally signed up to take a class that I have been drooling over for at least one year! Starting on Monday I will be adventuring into unknown personal territories with women from all over the world! I am taking Flora Bowley Bloom True E-Course. If you are not familiar with her she paints on super big canvas! I have never done this before and am very excited to try and learn new techniques.
So, I totally have to clean my studio and make room!!! Here are some before pics.
Over all, it's not too bad but this table above for sure needs to be cleared out! Wish me luck on my new adventure and I will update Y'all along the way!!!
Until next time-
Happy Monday morning my chickadees! Today the kids have off school in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday, although if they didn't they would still be home because the sickness has attacked our family once again! It took me quite a while to pick the picture of MLK that really spoke to me because they are all so good. I love this one because he looks deep in thought and I wonder what he was thinking at the moment this was taken.
One of my favorite MLK quotes is this:
Take the first step in faith.
You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
It is such a great quote because it really can be applied to anything life. I have some big dream, as we all do, and sometimes they can seem quite daunting as a whole. If you take those first steps in faith and belief and keep putting one foot in front of the other you be surprised at how far you have come!
Until next time, take that first step in faith!
At some point in nearly everyone's childhood they have cut their hair. A stolen moment alone with scissors. What goes through ones head? I am alone and I have scissors- I think I will take a big chunk out of my bangs! I knew that day would come with my girls, just wasn't sure when. Well folks, that day has arrived for my 5 year old Willow!
In other news, I have been working on lots of birdies! These little guys will be flying into my shop in the near future in case you fancy them! Here is a sneak peak!
Until next time, keep smilin'!!!
